BV Products: Vibratory Finishing
Vibratory Finishing, and is often also referred to as mass finishing. It is a mechanical/chemical process for mass produced parts for accomplishing the deburring, radiusing, smoothing, polishing and degreasing of the parts. In this process the parts are submerged in media and compound (specially treated water) within a vibratory finishing machine. The machine vibrates causing the contents to move in a circular motion and the media to grind against the part to get the desired finish. This process is used for both very small and very large workpieces with either simple or very complex shapes.
B Series
The “B” series machines range in size from 30 litres up to 600 litres. They are designed for hand loading/ unloading. This type of machine is especially suited for deburring larger parts and also delicate polishing processes such as those found in our ISFP technology. Due to their reduced weight & rigid design, these machines provide much faster finishing than machines produced by outdated, more traditional methods.
ISO Finishing uses the BV12B in house. It is one of the most versatile vibratory bowls available, and is a perfect fit for many automotive and performance motorsports applications. As with all of BV Products, the BV12B can be fitted with custom speed, water, and chemical dosing controls. Electrical connections are simple and can be designed to fit any voltage requirement. From aggressive deburring to micro precision superfinishing, the ideal unit can be custom built for each application. BV Products offers a high performance, competitive, longer lasting alternative the perennial products in the market today.

Featuring a minimum wall thickness of 50mm, Shore hardness on wear areas is 65D with a UTS of 30MPa and UE of 450%.
Motor: Direct, flange mounted vibration motor. Housed as an integral part of the machine, this specially constructed unit is designed for use on either 220/230V/1ph/50-60Hz supply. Nominal rating is 2.2kW.
Base: Cast in one piece from a specially formulated polyurethane the base is non corrosive and virtually indestructible.
Control Unit: IP65 rated programmable control unit that is designed to allow the machine to operate from a single phase power input. The unit allows variable process control speeds. Forward and reverse functions and incorporates a mains isolator.
Available Options/Upgrades
- Fixed to bowl sound/splash control lid.
- Compound recycling system complete with basic solids filtration. Fitted with single phase pump and under over baffle plates.
- Compound & water dosing system. Incorporating adjustable water flow meter and chemical dosing pump allowing precise regulation of water and compound to the finishing process.
DR Series
The unique “DR” machines include our advanced separation system. There is no need for “gate clearing” found in other brands. Just switch to reverse, watch flap automatically lower and parts discharge as media is efficiently returned to the bowl. The DR range is available from 30L through to 450L & of course can be optioned as found in our B series machines.
ISO Finishing uses the BV1DR in house. This machine is a full industrial duty bowl machine capable of performing all the usual surface finishing operations using a variety of medias and chemicals. From vigorous de-burring to gentle state of the art polishing. All machines are supplied with an IP65 rated variable speed control unit that allow the machine to operate from a conventional single phase outlet.

Vibratory Driers CD & HD Series
Heated cob dryers are suitable for the smallest and largest applications. This includes both steel fabricated units and our latest, cost effective Poly bowl design. Vibratory dryers use heated ground organic material to dry parts after a wet finishing process. They also clean any residue left on parts in preparation for plating or coating. Available with dust extraction options, these dryers can be used standalone or integrated into fully automated finishing systems. Utilizing either a unique direct heat- band technology or hot air blower, our cob dryers are efficient, safe and effective.
